Hot In Da Club take care of episode 3 of SSPB’s residency on Rinse France

This Thursday 13.07, from midnight to 1am, tune in to Rinse France for a supercharged hour of delirium from trio Hot In Da Club, founders of the Spooky Shit label.

PQ and Spooky-J, both from Kampala-based group NIHILOXICA (Crammed Discs, Nyege Nyege), formed Hot In Da Club with fellow sonic agitator Ekhe (Hakuna Kulala) back in 2019. Since then, the trio have already made a strong statement of intent, releasing a slew of blistering, blow-out rave mutations collected on the ‘Mediokore‘ and ‘Avant-Harde‘ EPs, as well as working on a number of other incendiary collab projects. This year, Hot In Da Club are already prepping another set of dancefloor face-melters for SSPB’s club-focused 12” series, alongside a new EP for the label. More very soon!

Tune in at midnight, or at any time from tomorrow onwards, to listen to Hot In Da Club’s special guest mix. Ekhe, Spooky-J and PQ each took charge for twenty minutes of the mix, for a three-part playlist that should come with its own “danger: high voltage” warning. Catch them mixing their own tracks with stonkers from Rojin Sharafi, Jay Mitta & Dogo Mjanja, Stine Janvin, Homesick, DBBD & Miss Bashful and more.
