A1: Smells Like Teen Spirit
RY X + Frank Wiedemann (Âme) came together to make one of the most beautiful releases of recent years with ‘Howling’ (on Transmodern). Now, as they rename themselves from their beginnings, becoming ‘HOWLING’ they release a record that was born of their mutual love of grunge. Performing across Europe in clubs and festivals saw this cover of ‘Smells like teen spirit’ become a deeply loved re-interpretation, so they chose to share with the wider community. As they finish their debut album together for release early next year, we see new pieces of them shown and their story grows as artists, individually and together, in this beautiful collaboration.
